Just because your business is small (at the moment), it doesn’t mean that you should think and act small. I’m not suggesting that you rush out to find a smart new office with an impressive boardroom or set up branches across the globe.

Regular journeys and driving around locally don’t generally require much planning, but if we’re venturing further afield or going somewhere new, most of us would reach for the sat nav. And it’s no different for your business.

I remember when I was growing up my dad would often say “money doesn’t grow on trees, you know”. He is now seventy-nine and, although he has given me lots of good advice and taught me a huge amount over the years, I’m convinced that he is wrong about this!
